2027 Airstream Lineup
What's New in Albany's 2027 Airstream Lineup
Three new floor plans, a fresh look for Flying Cloud, and upgrades built for real Adirondack seasons, all on the lot in Latham.
Airstream's 2027 lineup brings some of its biggest changes in years, and Airstream of Albany carries a lot of it. There are three brand-new floor plans, a fresh look for one of Airstream's most popular travel trailers, and new upgrades to power and comfort across much of the lineup.
If you're heading north on I-87 toward the Adirondacks, or west into the Catskills, these updates matter for the kind of camping you do here. Upstate New York brings hot, humid summers that can turn cold fast once fall sets in. Climate control and off-grid power can get you through a July weekend at Lake George or a fall trip into the High Peaks.
Here's what's changed across the 2027 Airstream lineup, model by model, and how it applies to the kind of camping conditions you can expect around Albany.
The New World Traveler 17RB Lands at Airstream of Albany
The World Traveler line adds a smaller sibling to the 22RB in 2027, and it's a genuinely new floor plan, not just a trim change. The 17RB is a compact, lightweight travel trailer built for quick trips and easy towing. It carries over the bright white interior from the 22RB, along with two cushion color choices.
You get dual-pane acrylic windows, a heating and cooling system tucked under the bench seat, two 20-pound propane tanks, and a lightweight awning. The design skips the bigger panoramic and door windows to keep weight down, which is the whole point of this floor plan. A rearview camera and bedding kit come standard, and you can add lithium power, a solar package, and a microwave if you want them.
For a first-time Airstream owner, or someone who wants a trailer that they can tow without a heavy-duty truck, the 17RB is worth a serious look. It's small enough for a quick weekend at a state campground, but it still has off-grid options if you want to head further out.
Trade Wind 27FB: Built for Off-Grid Trips Near Albany
The Airstream Trade Wind gets a new floor plan in 2027: the 27FB. It's a front-bedroom layout that sleeps up to five, joining the 25FB and 23FB already in the lineup. Airstream first showed it off at the Florida RV SuperShow in January 2026, and now it's available in 2027.
This model is great if you camp near the Adirondacks. Trade Wind is already Airstream's most off-grid-capable travel trailer, built around a big lithium battery bank and a strong solar setup. The 27FB comes with Trade Wind's recirculating water heater, so hot water is ready right away instead of making you wait or wasting water down the drain while you do.
For anyone who boondocks in the backcountry north of Albany, where the nearest hookup might be a long drive away, that's water and power you don't have to ration as carefully. It's the kind of upgrade that sounds small until you're the one standing in a cold shower waiting for the water to warm up.
Rangeline 21PL: A New Touring Coach at Airstream of Albany
Rangeline adds a second floor plan for 2027, the 21PL, alongside the existing 21PS. It's built around a modular bench seat that converts fast between open cargo space, a bed, and a lounge. The same coach can work for a weekend trip or a gear-hauling day.
The 21PL sleeps up to four under a fixed roof with a skylight, and it comes with lithium power and a 2.8kW generator for time off the grid. Both the 21PL and the 21PS also pick up two new color schemes this year, Lunar Gray and Onyx Black.
This Rangeline's off-grid setup makes it a reasonable fit for the same kind of Adirondack trips the Trade Wind is built for, just in a touring coach instead of a towable.
Flying Cloud's Fresh New Look Comes to Albany
Flying Cloud sees one of its biggest updates in years for 2027. Two new color packages, Willow Green and Canvas Cream, join the lineup this year. Both use a light wood-grain laminate with clean, solid-color cabinet fronts, giving the inside a simpler, calmer look than before. You can see both colors in person at Airstream of Albany's dealership.
The Flying Cloud also adds the new recirculating water heater in 2027, the same upgrade coming to the Trade Wind. That means faster hot water and less waste at the tap. If you're washing off after a hike in the Catskills and don't want to stand around waiting, it's a small change that makes a big difference at the end of the day.
It's no surprise Flying Cloud is getting this much attention in 2027, as it's long been one of Airstream's most popular travel trailers.
International Gets a Faster Water Heater in Albany
International maintains its floor plans across its 2027 models, but it adds the same recirculating water heater as Flying Cloud. Hot water reaches the tap faster, and you use less propane and less water getting to your destination. It's not a headline-grabbing change, but it's one you'll notice every single time you turn on the shower at a campsite near Lake George or anywhere else your adventures take you.
Interestingly, the International also picks up the new marker lights with a refined look that Airstream added across its traditional aluminum trailers in 2027.
Atlas Adds More Room and a New Look at Airstream of Albany
Elsewhere in the 2027 Airstream lineup, Atlas picks up a mix of smaller, practical updates this year. The 25MS has a tow rating of up to 5,000 pounds, along with an ample hitch rating. Inside, Atlas models also get larger pedestal tables, giving you more room to spread out at mealtime. The 25RT adds a new jump seat behind the driver, bumping seating availability from two people to three without losing its two-person sleeping setup. Both trims are available at Airstream of Albany if you want to check them out.
Atlas models also have a new color scheme in 2027 called Stonehaven, which pairs warm wood tones with updated seating. It replaces the older Modern Greige option across the line.
A New Color for the Interstate 24GL at Airstream of Albany
The 24GL keeps its existing floor plan for 2027, but it moves to the new Stonehaven color scheme along with the rest of the Interstate and Atlas lineup. Airstream also relocated the fire extinguisher on GL models this year to keep things consistent across trims. You can see the new Stonehaven interior in person at Airstream of Albany.
A few other Interstate trims get a wider door and a redesigned step well this year, with a bigger opening and a tougher screen. That update isn't part of the 24GL specifically.
💡 Good to know: If the wider door and redesigned step well is the feature you're after, ask your Airstream of Albany sales team which Interstate trims include it.
Basecamp's Heat Pump Is Built for Upstate Weather
The Airstream Basecamp switches to heat pump air conditioning in its 2027 models. A heat pump does double duty, cooling the trailer in the summer and warming it back up when temperatures drop. Better yet, Airstream says the switch delivers more efficient climate control overall.
Upstate New York swings from hot, sticky summers to cold nights well before winter officially arrives, sometimes within the same week. A heat pump that handles both jobs means you can stretch your camping season longer into the fall. That's a major advantage if you're the kind of camper who chases the last good weekend at Lake George or a fall color trip through the Adirondacks before putting the trailer away for the season.
More Updates Across the 2027 Airstream Lineup in Albany
A few changes apply across much of the 2027 Airstream lineup, including several models that Airstream of Albany carries. Globetrotter, Caravel, Classic, and Bambi all get new marker lights with a refined look while keeping the classic shape Airstream is known for. It's a small styling update, but it's part of a wider push to freshen up the look of the whole lineup.
Select models across the lineup also add wireless charging built right into the nightstand, a small but genuinely useful convenience for a night at the campsite. On the flip side, Airstream retired the Basecamp 16 as of June 2026, narrowing that lineup to focus on its newer floor plans and technology.
